Ferromanganese: Ferromanganese is refined in blasting furnace and electric furnace, with Manganese ore as raw material. Ferromanganese is often used as deoxidizing agent. Manganese could desulfurize and reduce the adverse effect of Sulfur. So all kinds of steel and cast-iron contains certain amounts of Manganese. Ferromanganese is also an important alloying agent, and is widely used in structural steel, tool steel, strainless refractory steel and wear-resistant steel.

Electrolytic Manganese metal is the main material for producing Trimagananese tetroxide. Furthermore, because of high quality and little impurity, Electrolytic Managanese metal is an important alloy element for producing stainless stell, high-strength low-alloy steel, Alumino-Managanese alloy. It is also an indispensable raw material for welding rod, ferrite, permanent magnet alloy element, and manganic salt for medical and chemical plants. The newly-developed decreasing vibration alloy also needs Electrolytic Manganese metal.
